After
20 years in the San Francisco Bay Area, Alisa recently moved with her
partner and son to picturesque
Bainbridge Island
,
Washington
. Since
being initiated into the practice of Transcendental Meditation at the
age of 11, Alisa has been fascinated with metaphysics, alternative
healing arts, the psychic, and spirituality.
Her other passions include flower gardening, painting, interior
decoration and writing.
Alisa
graduated from the
University
of
Nebraska
in 1986 and received her master's degree in Clinical Psychology from San
Francisco State University in 1997.
Although she never aspired to become a licensed therapist, she
felt that obtaining an advanced degree in psychology would provide a
great foundation for her non-traditional counseling work - which has
proven to be true!
Additionally, she is certified as a hypnotherapist and
massage therapist.
For
many years, Alisa coordinated programs for foster children and homeless
youth in the Bay Area.
She now maintains a private practice on
Bainbridge
Island
, utilizing both traditional and non-traditional approaches in her
counseling work with clients (for more details, click on "Depth

and in person.
